The idea of a carbon fibre instrument is getting increasingly attractive. A guitar that is immune to changes in temperature and humidity, and sounds great, it’s a beautiful idea right? 

Well, I have questions and I bet you do too! There is no substitute for personal experience so when my friends at Emerald Guitars in Ireland offered to send me some handmade carbon-fiber acoustic goodness I had to accept!

I had a chat with Emerald Guitars CEO Alistair Hay - he made Formula 1 racing boats before he got into guitars so he is a man who truly understands form and function - he told me more about the potential of these incredible musical instruments.
