I've always made an effort to bring my audience cool and unusual guitars but I have to admit that until recently I had overlooked Finland as an epicentre of acoustic goodness - all that changed recently with a visit to the Tornberg Guitars workshop in Oulu.

Juuso Tornberg was a professional graphic designer before he discovered the work of Michael Greenfield and fell in love with the idea of handmade guitar luthiery.

With less than 30 instruments to his name thus far Juuso Tornberg is still on the journey and he invited me to Finland to try his 18th guitar - a beautiful non-cutaway small Jumbo in redwood and walnut.

This showcase video was recorded at just before midnight - however the sun never truly sets in Oulu at this time of year - absolutely incredible - I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
Until next time, stay tuned
Michael
