This weekend I played a concert in Paris with the sublimely talented South African guitarist Derek Gripper. Derek has been one of my favourite musicians for years now since I was introduced to his music by Matthias and Matthew of Casimi Guitars.

This was our first meeting and it was a real pleasure to sit down and chat about altered tunings, arranging African music for nylon string guitar, 10-string Hauser instruments, multi-scale necks, interchangeable fretboards and the aerodynamic properties of the modern CD...
